Process Thermostatic
Thermostatic traps react to changes in temperature and therefore discriminate very well between steam and cooler noncondensible
gases. They can rapidly purge air from a system, especially on cold startups.

Thermodynamic traps are phase detectors in that they can discriminate between condensate and steam. The main thermodynamic feature
that is desirable in process applications is the hot-running design and responsiveness to load changes. |
